Some alternative graphs

A friend linked on Facebook to graphs from HumanProgress.org showing breast and prostate cancer death rates in the US. I immediately checked those against SEER at cancer.gov and also didn't like the y axes used by HumanProgress.org so here are my own graphs based on SEER data:

BreastAndProstateIt's nice to see it go down, but it's better to see the data presented well and based on the most authoritative source with a y axis that makes it clear what the magnitude of the change really is. Also, CDC gets death certificates directly, WHO has to do more modeling to get their data.
