You know you've hit the big time when...

All the industry buzz says "data sciences" is the hot new industry. That's more or less code-words for computational statistics. I'll believe it when there's a TV series about a carefree but sincere computational statistician, an ex military intelligence officer, who each week gets a different desperately needy but beautiful and funny woman bringing a case in which he needs to for example estimate the optimal inventory schedule for her chain of contracted Amazon fulfillment warehouses while simultaneously determining who is stealing from the shipping trucks and where the excess inventory is being unloaded and at what prices. He'd have help from his ex Iraq War military intelligence buddies Mike who is an IT and information security expert, and BD who operates a hydrofoil boat and does executive team building exercises. The main character would drive a red Tesla, and the whole thing would take place in Hawaii where he lives on the estate of a hedge fund manager for whom he maintains the real-time computational trading engine housed in a bunker in the side of an extinct volcano.

The main character could be called "Thomas Markov", and we could call the show "Markov BDA"

That's the most stupendously awesome idea anyone's ever had for a TV program.

Funny, I was going to write a comment with a link to Entsophy's blog and the text, "If you need an ex-military statistician to be a consultant for your show, here's your man."
